Elektra Labs has created Atlas, a digital measures platform that simplifies the evaluation and deployment of connected technologies that collect behavioral or physiological measurements. These products can support both clinical research and clinical care:
For those conducting research studies or clinical trials, such as pharma, biotechs and contract research organizations (CROs), Atlas serves as a catalog of trustworthy technologies to deploy in decentralized clinical trials.
For those in clinical care, Atlas functions as a formulary of trustworthy connected technologies for remote monitoring.
We built Atlas after interviewing more than 300 stakeholders in the software-enabled clinical trials ecosystem, and we discovered that people wanted a better way to evaluate trustworthy products. Similar to a drug label or nutrition label that highlights critical aspects of the product, we design connected technology labels. Our label identifies objective measures around the product’s validation, usability, security, and data governance components.
Elektra Labs is a proud supporter of #WeHeartHackers, a movement between the medical device and security researcher communities to work collaboratively at the Biohacking Village at DEF CON, which was launched at the FDA’s cybersecurity public workshop in January 2019.
